THE SECOND STORY | September 2nd, 2021

The Alameda real estate market is saying something……

….and I don’t know if the market is telling me the truth or not, but what I do know is that it’s getting darker sooner. And more properties are being put on the market, most likely to beat the holidays, which can be a HUGE distraction to Buyers.

This week there are 34 active listings, 20 pending sales, and 14 sold properties. And some of those active listings have had price reductions and are BOMs.

I took this photo today, in my backyard because I was admiring how complicated spider webs are.  And that lead my thought to a woman (girlfriend of a crew member with whom we raced)  in Tiburon, decades ago. Everybody called her Bugsy.  Random, eh?

And Carl was the designer of the boat that we sailed on.

Let’s get to it!

I arrived in Alameda in 1973, as a new bride...with husband Carl Schumacher, both of us from Newport Beach. He was embarking on his career as a Naval Architect (i.e. yacht designer) under Gary Mull. Please see the 'ABOUT ME' page in this website! to see how it has all turned out! I'm so blessed!
