THE SECOND STORY | May 7th, 2020

Strong winds bring kiteboarders and windsurfers! I rode my bike by these, but a friend sent me this because it was too crowded for me to stop and take a photo!

Big news (for me)! The Shredding Party was remarkable! Based on what the Alameda Meals on Wheels Director said, I turned in $6280 this past Monday!

We all wore masks and obeyed the laws about social distancing!

Robert, who works for Shred-it, has been attending our party for the last 4 years because it’s extra $$$ for him, but he said everybody is so happy!

Thank you so much: neighbors, friends, and those I don’t even know!  And what great news for AMOW.

When I called Peri (the Director) on Monday, she burst into tears!

I arrived in Alameda in 1973, as a new bride...with husband Carl Schumacher, both of us from Newport Beach. He was embarking on his career as a Naval Architect (i.e. yacht designer) under Gary Mull. Please see the 'ABOUT ME' page in this website! to see how it has all turned out! I'm so blessed!
