Blustery days in Alameda

Here’s a photo of one of my backyard rose bushes (thank goodness it’s still upright due to the winds and heavy rains last night). You’ll see there is a tulip in the container but it’s made of metal. Erin, my daughter in law, gave this to me for Christmas….and it opens and closes with the sun. That’s called low maintenance! Love it!

Commentary (2 sentences!)

The tour this week was ‘single family, single level homes week.’ Out of 11 properties on the tour  this week 7 fit into this category.

Broker Tour 11 this week…saw all but 2. Took my car to BFI then saw 2 on the east end. Then exchanged my vehicle for my bike..and saw the rest! Nice ride.

Bang for the Buck plus it’s near Encinal Market!

Get me to rehab The agent said it needs everything…and I agreed! Tiny house (under 600 sf), 40K in pest, needs electrical, plumbing, and blah blah blah. In a courtyard of similar houses close to Park St. I asked if the small garage (need work) was deeded to the house but she couldn’t say.

That’s a wrap! Get ready for the 9th annual Shredding Party on March 19. If you are on my mailing list you get postcard!

I arrived in Alameda in 1973, as a new bride...with husband Carl Schumacher, both of us from Newport Beach. He was embarking on his career as a Naval Architect (i.e. yacht designer) under Gary Mull. Please see the 'ABOUT ME' page in this website! to see how it has all turned out! I'm so blessed!
