THE SECOND STORY | November 19th, 2015

Early AM in Alameda

On-the-course lesson with my golf teacher, Woody!  My type of therapy.

It was super good to get out on my bike to see the few properties that came on the market this week. Everything was on the main island, almost end to end both east/west and north/south.

This is the time of year that the real estate market typically slows down due to holidays, events, traveling, etc. But if a seller wants to sell and buyers are still looking…there may be a few good deals to be had.

This can also be a time of year when sellers are just beginning to get ready to sell in the new year: getting inspections, painting the interior/exterior (as long as the rain holds off), doing repairs (contractors still remain busy with more fixes and repairs than the big jobs that may start up again in the new year).

Some sellers may want to be ready by the time spring comes ’round…especially if their move involves kids. If the kids are on a traditional school calendar, most likely they will move during the summer.

As far as buyers go…I just received an email wanting to know if I would refer a good lender to the couple…to analyze their situation and see if what they want to do is actually possible.

If you need lenders, vendors, or assistance of most any kind…let me know. I may have someone that could help in any given situation…and I’ve been able to assist most folks with quality people. What’s the worst that could happen? I don’t have any body. What’s the best that could happen? You may just get a quality job done by a quality person.

And that’s the story for today and everyday…help people.

I arrived in Alameda in 1973, as a new bride...with husband Carl Schumacher, both of us from Newport Beach. He was embarking on his career as a Naval Architect (i.e. yacht designer) under Gary Mull. Please see the 'ABOUT ME' page in this website! to see how it has all turned out! I'm so blessed!
