THE SECOND STORY | January 29th, 2015

You’ve got a green, gray, and a blue bin…and Alamedan’s use them best!

Shredding Party this year has a new addition to it…
a truck that hauls away e-waste!
March 7, 9-12!
This is for my clients, their friends, neighbors, and my friends
to get rid of the stuff they don’t need!
I’ll have more details as we get closer!

I’m sure I’ve used this photo/painting before…and if you drive along Santa Clara..this house will be in the 2700-2800 block (I think), with the window at street level.
My silly take on some silly things…

Another notch in the belt for the Island City, Alameda. The Alameda County Stopwaste Benchmark Service…gave the old hometown the number one position of the 16 cities/towns that Alameda County Industries services, for keeping ‘good stuff’ out of the garbage, and keeping garbage out of the recycling and green containers.

I’m almost to the point that I don’t even need a garbage disposal at my house. Everything goes into the green bin in a Bio-Bag (available at Bed Bath and Beyond). I don’t clog up my sink, and I don’t use water to get those items into the sewer. Well, at least that’s my take on it. Carry on, Alamedans!

Alameda Real Estate Awards…this is only my perspective!
Energy efficient!
Big house, big lot, not so sure about the location… Good new here, is you have a 3 car detached garage to put your stuff! It was a foreclosure, and then an LLC bought it..and finished it out. Just off Webster, near to the Fire Station.

That’s a wrap for now! Interest rates remain good, and not so good for now. But based on the calls and emails I’m getting…the higher end markets seemed to have hit their peak. We got 11 months left in the year!

I have no interest in the Super Bowl this year…can’t even say who it playing. I hope your team wins!

best, marilyn

I arrived in Alameda in 1973, as a new bride...with husband Carl Schumacher, both of us from Newport Beach. He was embarking on his career as a Naval Architect (i.e. yacht designer) under Gary Mull. Please see the 'ABOUT ME' page in this website! to see how it has all turned out! I'm so blessed!
