THE SECOND STORY | January 8th, 2015

On the road again (by bike) in Alameda!

It’s a little house/hut/kitchen! When I was with the extended family over New Year’s, we found these small gems in the snow!  This was at Homewood, at Lake Tahoe.  If they didn’t have enough snow for the customers, (they were shooting it out of loud blast machines into the sky), then the customers could buy a homemade waffle at Homewood while they waited for the white stuff.  Got me thinking about how these small huts might be turned into mucho-munchkin dream houses.  my rather warped way of looking at the world around me.

Alameda Real Estate this Week…
It was very pleasant getting out on the tour by bike. The 6 properties were on the main island this week. Had a chance to look at 5 of them, and say Happy New Year to lots of my friends on the tour.  One was cancelled by the tenant at the house…no agent to be seen!

I arrived in Alameda in 1973, as a new bride...with husband Carl Schumacher, both of us from Newport Beach. He was embarking on his career as a Naval Architect (i.e. yacht designer) under Gary Mull. Please see the 'ABOUT ME' page in this website! to see how it has all turned out! I'm so blessed!
