THE SECOND STORY | July 3rd, 2014

Happy Independence Day, ALAMEDA!

This little girl was in the parade a few years ago!  The horsemanship is wonderful based on the previous years!  Come and see!  I’ll be one of four back-up drummers on the Alameda Association of Realtors flat-bed float.   Wave and yell if you see us!  (Oh, I’ve had all of 2 lessons in the past 3 weeks.)  Was it something I said?  check it out.

Cute, charming!
Out of rehab!  This was sold ‘as is’ (and it was a mess) in 2012 for 915K, now it’s listed for 1.8M.  Kind of the Gold Coast but is closer to Central.

And here’s the message for today!

Have a great, relaxing, 4th!  Be well!  Be happy!  And be grateful that despite the issues that are out ‘there’, we are very blessed to have freedom.  Now go have a fun time!

best, marilyn

I arrived in Alameda in 1973, as a new bride...with husband Carl Schumacher, both of us from Newport Beach. He was embarking on his career as a Naval Architect (i.e. yacht designer) under Gary Mull. Please see the 'ABOUT ME' page in this website! to see how it has all turned out! I'm so blessed!
