THE SECOND STORY | November 21st, 2013

Blowing leaves in Alameda means autumn is really here.

The winds from the north have come after the first real rain in months and months.  No more leaves on the trees…most are now staying on the ground being blown from street to building, to street again.  This was taken my my young neighbor, almost seven years ago, and now she is almost out of college. Good eye, yes?

BOOMER-CHICK-MUSINGS – my take on what’s old, what’s new, and what’s up.

If you haven’t already, consider given one or two turkeys to the Alameda Food Bank.  They want 1000 by this Monday, to help others have a nice Thanksgiving.  If you don’t live near here, please find another Food Bank, and feel great about helping others!  Have a nice Thanksgiving!

Shameless self-promotion – My listing at 409 Sunset Road closed last Friday.  Closed for 620K on a 510K price.  The single-level house with no HOA fees, attracted lots of folks, with the location just one block from the beach.   I did receive a nice letter from the Seller, and it’s posted on the Marilyn got it DONE for us, page (above).

Broker Tour Tuesday – There were 8 on the rainy day tour, and I had already seen 3 of them over the weekend, and then saw 3 more.

I arrived in Alameda in 1973, as a new bride...with husband Carl Schumacher, both of us from Newport Beach. He was embarking on his career as a Naval Architect (i.e. yacht designer) under Gary Mull. Please see the 'ABOUT ME' page in this website! to see how it has all turned out! I'm so blessed!
