THE SECOND STORY | September 12th, 2013

The Bronze Coast of Alameda….

I took this photo earlier in summer.  It just seems so restful…one person sitting in a chair, as all the kite boarders fight and master the wind.

OK.  This is about shameless self-promotion…actually it’s about a new listing I have. 1731 Clinton Ave. It will be held open this Sat and Sun between 2-4pm.  My signs are all new and ready to go.

One of my colleagues told me years ago that she wasn’t snobby enough to say she lived in Alameda’s Gold Coast (the place where rich San Franciscan’s would build big houses back in the day, and stay during the summer because the weather is so good here, and so bad in SF).

I happened to agree with her.  We don’t live in the Gold Coast.  But we do live very close to it.  She would say she lived in Alameda’s Bronze Coast.  And now, it shows up on Google Maps!  So my listing is officially in Alameda’s Bronze Coast, just a few houses away from the Gold Coast!  Click on the link to check it out.  The website will be up by Saturday!  Just need to create a couple of pages and it’s good to go!

I told you about my listing.

Let’s do the broker tour 10 new listings this week.  Saw most of them via bike!

ALAMEDA REAL ESTATE AWARDS THIS WEEK…remember this is only my perspective!
Winner – not the highest price, but there was a lot of interest in this…in this price range.
Get me to rehab – you read the description, and you know it’s true.

That’s a wrap…come see me at 1731 Clinton this weekend, 2-4pm each day.  Make it work! Carry on!

best, marilyn

I arrived in Alameda in 1973, as a new bride...with husband Carl Schumacher, both of us from Newport Beach. He was embarking on his career as a Naval Architect (i.e. yacht designer) under Gary Mull. Please see the 'ABOUT ME' page in this website! to see how it has all turned out! I'm so blessed!
