Alameda’s Local Advisory

Kites deflated.  This week had a few big, windy days for the board surfers!
There were so many kite surfers off the Alameda shore I could not count them!  Fab!
Another reason I love Alameda ( and so do the windsurfers)!
I only watch them…I sail very occasionally on boats!
Boomer Chick Musings – my take on life…what it is, was, and occasionally might be!
Local Knowledge..
A new Alameda Local Advisory has been distributed to our Realtor members, for their clients.  The most recent version was posted this week.  The goal of the Alameda Association of Realtors is to direct consumers to the source of info. If you’d like a copy…call or email.
And for those who haven’t been to it, here’s the city website….you can find info on all kinds of stuff here.  Take a look around!
Broker Tour Tuesday  12 on tour, one repeat.  Great day to see houses by bike!
Highest and Lowest Priced Listings this week.  Check this out!  Would you rather buy 20 classic cottages built in 1920 on a private street (highest listing for 4.6M) or 20 units in one building….think it through.
Active and Pending listings this week (including comm’l)  56, 74 (note one time does not a trend make…but the gap is narrowing between the two numbers!
Price Change  2  increased by 100% this week!
ALAMEDA REAL ESTATE AWARDS THIS WEEK…this is only my perspective!
That’s a wrap!  Carry on!  Make it work!

Best, marilyn

I arrived in Alameda in 1973, as a new bride...with husband Carl Schumacher, both of us from Newport Beach. He was embarking on his career as a Naval Architect (i.e. yacht designer) under Gary Mull. Please see the 'ABOUT ME' page in this website! to see how it has all turned out! I'm so blessed!
