Another BOO to the guy who didn’t show up for the tour, but had his listing on it. Not a problem, but really, back when I used to show vacant units..I at least put up a ‘welcome agents’ sign and said where the lockbox was located. Those were the days that there was a LOT of inventory.
Last week’s highest priced listing was marked withdrawn temporarily. The owner had one of the 4 named buyers make an offer…(see last week’s blog…incredible property).
This week’s highest priced listing is on a great block and is a fantastic house, probably more of an older kid or just-for-adults house because 3 bedrooms are on 3 levels and that’s not how people with families live these days.
ALAMEDA REAL ESTATE AWARDS THIS WEEK….remember this is only my perspective! Winner of the week Cute, charming Condo of the century? This was on the market a few years ago. It sits on a large lot and the owners wanted to build another house on that same lot. In order to do it, they had to create a homeowners association for the two properties. They have an easement to parking (shared in the back – no garages) and the front has been redone (built in 1900), and the rear ‘unit’ was previously purchased as new ‘green’ construction. Not for everybody…but it is a great house…with pros and cons (like most every other house).
That’s a wrap! Carry on! Make it work! Call if you have questions regarding selling a property or buying. If it’s in Alameda I’ll consider working it. Let’s meet up and talk about it! best, marilyn

I arrived in Alameda in 1973, as a new bride...with husband Carl Schumacher, both of us from Newport Beach. He was embarking on his career as a Naval Architect (i.e. yacht designer) under Gary Mull.
Please see the 'ABOUT ME' page in this website! www.MarilynSchumacher.com to see how it has all turned out! I'm so blessed!

Alemeda apples and properties delivered. Quick read, lot of information and solid links to news articles. I enjoyed the blog post and will return. I like that you posted the number of active and pending sales in your city. I’m going to borrow that. Might borrow the entire format for a post once a week at my site http://www.BoulderRealEstatenews.com – I even like the name of your other site – the “trends” page. Solid Alameda real estate content and I will be back for certain.
Thanks Bob! I’ll check out your site. Pass the word to other agents and various readers. How did you find the blog?
