Ageless spaces!

Blog photo:  Last of the light…on this Victorian across from a house I held open at 1219 Regent.

Okay, I’m going to try something different.  I’ve been writing two blogs: this one every week (except for Dec when it goes into hibernation), and one every once in a while called Boomer Chick Musings , starting Dec of 2010.  So if you care to check out Boomer Chick Musings hit the link and find out what I’m thinking, usually beyond real estate.  But it may make you smile – or not.  That’s up to you!   So check out Boomer Chick Musings.  Did you get that?  Boomer Chick Musings.  OK, that’s the ad.

When I have Alameda real estate items, you know I’ll post it here, same as before….under ALAMEDA REAL ESTATE THIS WEEK.   Everything else will be the same…except for Quick Glimpses.  I’m going to put in the whole list of items each week from my  CAR (Calif. Assoc of Realtors) weekly online trade collection, instead of picking a few that interest me.  You can scroll through it and hit which ever article whets your appetite!

ALAMEDA REAL ESTATE THIS WEEK…
Beyond the Headlines

Take a look at the NEW listings this week.   There’s a listing that’s a 3 unit building plus a detached 4th unit.  The agent is calling it 2 houses on 1 lot.  It’s 4 units to the consumer!  Tell it like it is.  Consumers get plenty mad when they are shopping for real estate.  Let’s keep them happy, and tell the truth!

Well, it looks like I got to put up a pending sign at 305 Court St, after too many months!  Here’s to having it close in less than two weeks!

My Buyers for 1219 Grand got a FHA loan, jumbo-sized in less than 3 weeks!  Yes, they are super organized and well prepared but that’s the way to be!  You go girl…Nina Jones at Wells Fargo.  We will close about a month out due to the Seller’s wishes.

Unsold inventory this week  117, last report 123.
Pending inventory this week 95, last report 93.

Tuesday Broker Tour  nine houses on the tour.  All the way out to the Bay Farm Island townhomes, back to Harbor Bay, then all the way up to Ballena Bay then down to Pacific and Willow – and I got a late start!  But it was a beautiful day and a great bike ride!  And I got home with 15 minutes to spare – 12:45!

I arrived in Alameda in 1973, as a new bride...with husband Carl Schumacher, both of us from Newport Beach. He was embarking on his career as a Naval Architect (i.e. yacht designer) under Gary Mull. Please see the 'ABOUT ME' page in this website! www.MarilynSchumacher.com to see how it has all turned out! I'm so blessed!
