THE SECOND STORY | February 3rd, 2012

Take me for a ride…

Blog photo: I can’t remember when this was taken or why I was out there…but the weather, the boat, and the bridge, say it all.

Blog post: Calgon, take me away! We are getting into the primary elections these days.  Every body is a liar.  One guy says he has grandiose ideas (like fly people to the moon), another guy says he has a way figured out to get people from under water on their homes.

I can’t even keep them straight.  All I know is that NOBODY has come up with anything that does anything right.  Do you choose the biggest liar?  Do you choose the more practical of them?  Do you really believe any of them?  Super-Pacs throw mean spirited spears toward anybody who gets in their candidate’s way.

People come into public office worth a couple hundred thousand dollars and leave worth millions?  Is this the ‘new’ American way? The election system is a fraud.

I know I don’t know anything…but I feel we need to vote everybody out.  And it will take 12 years to do so…but we’ve got the only way to stop these raving idiots.  It’s called your vote.

Now I feel better.  But really, Calgon, take me away!

I arrived in Alameda in 1973, as a new bride...with husband Carl Schumacher, both of us from Newport Beach. He was embarking on his career as a Naval Architect (i.e. yacht designer) under Gary Mull. Please see the 'ABOUT ME' page in this website! www.MarilynSchumacher.com to see how it has all turned out! I'm so blessed!
