I was on my bike checking on a property that will be coming on the market…and it was win-dee! There’s bit of a shortcut behind houses and behind local cul-de-sacs that can be used to beat the wind. But when I came out and saw this site…it was like it was a weekend, not a late Thursday afternoon!

Vendors…Often it is my pleasure to recommend vendors to my clients…everything from folks who refinish hardwood floors, to those who need new carpeting, to painters, plumbers, electricians, handy people, fence folks, movers (that’s a tough one…who is good on one cross country trip can be bad on the next). And just as often I received names of vendors my clients have had great (not just good) luck with. And that’s how I keep current lists!
The challenge is timing. When clients are working to get a house ready for the market, they need everything right away, and that’s not always possible, especially when everybody is in high demand! When buyers are working to get estimate once they are in a contract, that can be tough. Sometimes I am able to nicely pull strings. If you need somebody, feel free to let me know what needs to be done, and I can offer somebody’s name so you can meet her/him.
Many of my vendors have worked for me personally. I have a track record when it comes to them working for my clients. Over the years our family has replaced a full brick foundation, added rooms (beds, laundry, baths), rebuilt from scratch an enclosed spa room, landscaped and landscaped again, replaced window coverings, had the front of the house painted, just in the last 5 weeks I’ve had hardwood stairs refinished. I may have some attorneys to refer as well. I have surveyors, structural engineers. Often title work needs to be cleaned up when ownership is messed up…and on and on.
And believe you me, if it’s not done right, I’ll know about it, and if they don’t make it right…it’s history for them. I’d rather have a bad situation happen personally to me instead of my clients. So…when you need somebody….take advantage of all the time I’ve lived in Alameda, and what I know!

I’ve included all All Types: commercial, lots & land, residential income, residential 5+units, commercial lots & land, commercial industrial. What we don’t see often is how the comm’l agents run their own MLS systems and subscribe to that so they aren’t bothered with houses, and/or small residential units.
