I just reviewed the blog that I write for about every two weeks..Bay Area Real Estate Trends/. One of the writers posted about a website that can check it anyone has died in the house. Click on the link to see it…then come back to read this post.
I understand that some folks may need to know if someone has died in the house/property. It doesn’t matter to me why they need to know.
I have another take on this. I call it Selective Traditions. I had three units for sale several years ago. The Victorian was made up of 2 small units on the ground level, and the main owner’s unit up the stairs. It was owner occupied for years.
A buyer came through and asked it anybody had died in the house. Yes. The husband had passed on at the house. She made known to me that that wasn’t good. She had her agent write an offer and it was rejected. She re-wrote the offer and it too, was rejected. I asked the agent, how come her knowledge of the death in the house suddenly had no affect on her? She shrugged and said something like ‘price beats death, for her.’ Ahh,, thus Selective Traditions.
